Obituary:
To the best of our knowledge, Doug died in a traffic accident quite some time ago.  After Hillcrest he went on to Carleton University (Engineering) and was a star on the Raven's Hockey team.  He and his family moved to the US, somewhere near Washington DC.  If you have any information about his passing, please post this up using the tribute link.  Thank you

Barb Ward - March 4th, 2015

reconnected with mark at the high school reunion to realize he lived a mile from me in kelowna.  Enjoyed the next two years with him at gatherings at his home and boating on the okanogan lake.  His zest for life, music and people was so good.  I was able to help him through a difficult year.  He was positive, upbeat and partied to the end. Rip mark.

Passed away peacefully in Kelowna, B.C. after a valiant struggle with cancer. Beloved son of the late Bill and Vi Abrams. Dear brother of Brian (Sandra) and Jonathan (Helene) of New York. Special uncle to Paula Lussier (Chris), Joshua Abrams (Daniel) and Rachel and Rivka Abrams of New York. Great uncle to Cole and Claira Lussier. Nephew of Mrs. Wilda (Billie) Shuyler of Minden, Ont., Mrs. Doris Mallinson of Calgary, Alta. and Mrs Jeanette Berlin of Ottawa, and many cousins. A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held on Sunday April 14, 2013 in Kelowna.

AUSTIN, Gerald William At home on Wednesday, January 16th, 2008 surrounded by those he loved and who loved him, age 54 years. Beloved husband of Louise Beique, father of Julie-Anne (Frank Lafrance) and John. Predeceased by his parents John and Olive (nee McNally). Brother of Ron (Gail) and Don (Jane). Gerald will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He was passionate of the Arts and worked 25 years as a technician with the NAC and 5 years in E.R. at CHEO where he left a legacy of kindness. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St, Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Resurrection Of Our Lord Church, 1940 Saunderson Drive on Saturday, January 19th, 2008 at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Hospice at May Court in memory of Gerald would be appreciated by the family.

Gerry Page - August 25th, 2014

I am so very sorry to hear of Gerald's passing.  I went to St Leo's with him from grade 4 to grade 8 and I also worked with him on a couple of plays at Hillcrest.  Gerald had so many talents and skills.  My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathy to Mary-Jane's family.  She and I were really good friends throughout high school.  I'd been trying to find her for years as we lost contact after Hillcrest.  I am shocked and saddened to learn of her death.  She was such a great friend.
